To cook the quinoa: add water to a pot and bring to a boil. Stir in the quinoa and cover the pot. Reduce heat to low and cook for 15 minutes. Once done remove from heat and let quinoa stand in the pot covered for 5 minutes.

While the quinoa cooks, steam the broccoli until soft. Once done set aside. This will be a side dish. Prepare the rest of your sides.

To make the patties: add cooked quinoa, garlic powder. cumin, pepper, minced garlic, onion, spinach, cheese, egg, and panko breadcrumbs to a bowl and mix thoroughly until combined.
